:
Rebecca is an exceptionally quick learner who is able to synthesize multiple and complex components into a coherent whole.
Academically, Rebecca holds a PhD in Rural Studies, with a focus on sustainable models of rural women’s health care in Ontario.
Rebecca has worked in community development for more than 20 years in the voluntary, public and private sectors.
She facilitates strategic planning and governance processes for large and small organizations; and provides strategic analysis to social and health policy makers.
In a voluntary capacity, Rebecca serves on several Boards of Directors in the fields of social services, health and education.
Rebecca’s practice focuses on nimbleness — in facilitation, in strategy, in mindset. So having a way to measure adaptability was a very aligned and attractive addition to her menu of offerings.
Rebecca is a trusted advisor, navigator, strategy maker and Certified Professional Facilitator who is interested in increasing personal and collective adaptability. Rebecca "untangles knots and connects dots."
She asks great questions and designs engaging processes to help groups collaborate well and reach their strategic objectives. Rebecca has over 25 years’ experience with diverse initiatives across Canada and internationally. She adds value as an analytical thinker, insightful coach and consensus builder. You can expect Rebecca to deliver alignment, strategic clarity, effective collaboration and time well spent.
Rebecca is excited to be one of the few professionally certified Adaptability Quotient coaches globally. This new work in adaptability aligns well with her books on adaptive strategic planning and nimble facilitation. She is also delighted to launch a new collaborative leadership development program called ELASTIC in 2022.
Leveraging Adaptability:
Rebecca has engaged AQ with over a dozen clients. She recently worked with two programs within a regional municipality who both encourage wider innovation through their work. Each program specifically promoted adaptability and was experiencing the need for it. When these two programs, each with its own culture, were relocated into a single department they needed to leverage each other’s strengths and work well together. AQai gave them shared vocabulary to discuss their preferred pathways toward improved adaptability.
