In early 2020 the pandemic caused Nancy to lose 90% of her revenue. On-site work in nine different cities across four different countries had been cancelled and she was at a standstill.
After the initial shock and a much-needed trip to her Muskoka cottage, Nancy began a radical transformation of herself and her business. The necessary pivot was in learning about adaptability and deciding to embrace the new opportunities the pandemic offered. She found AQai, connected with founders Ross and Mike, saw the value in the assessments and and committed to embracing change.
After completing her AQ level 1 foundation with the very first cohort in the summer of 2020, Nancy quickly started sharing the science and power of human and organizational adaptability with many of her clients. The first, Microsoft, had her deliver a keynote that led to three workshops on team adaptability. Next came The Government of Canada, introducing AQ at a retreat with their leadership team. Then after completing her AQ level 2 professional certification, she landed a year-long contract with a large engineering consultancy to deliver innovative DEI initiatives based in adaptability.

The largest project Nancy has for adaptability is with HAVI, the global supply chain and logistics company. AQai made the introductions and invited Nancy to be the lead coach and consultant taking their leaders through an AQai adaptability accelerator. The contract included a high volume of 1-2-1 debriefs, workshops and developing learning content.
